The private nanny experience

at half the cost.

What’s a Nanny Share?

A nanny share is the best of both worlds: personalized, in-home care for your little one at about half the cost of a private nanny. Two families with children of similar age, schedule, and location share one dedicated nanny, creating a nurturing environment with plenty of one-on-one attention and a built-in playmate.

For parents looking for reliable, in-home care that fits your schedule (and budget), a nanny share provides the highest quality care in a convenient and developmentally-engaging setting where your child thrives.

How it Works

Tell us all about your family and what your needs are. We want to know exactly what you are looking for and how amazing your little one is, so we can set up the perfect nanny share for you! We start the process with a "nice to meet you" phone call, then handle the rest.

Step 1: Get to know you

Step 2: We find your match

Our team then searches for the right family in our network to match you with and the perfect nanny for your little ones. We provide you regular updates along the way and set up introductory meetings to ensure you're feeling all the warm fuzzies about your nanny share!

Step 3: Your nanny share begins

Once you're thrilled with your nanny share, we officially begin! We facilitate all the day 1 logistics and make sure it's a smooth transition for your little one (and you... we're parents too, so we get it). You're in our 'club' and we're here to make this experience magical for your family!

Frequently Asked Questions

Monthly Cost

It’s dependent on the personal rates of the nanny and whether you need full or part time care. A great nanny usually charges $24-30/hour. For full time 40 hours per week, this would cost $2,100 - $2,600, similar to or less than typical daycare.

Full Time vs Part Time

Needs for a full time nanny (30-40 hours a week) are best because it’s easier to find a family and nanny match for the long term. Consistency and reliability are what we aim for. However, we can match for part time if needed.

Safety

Your child's safety is a top priority. Every nanny completes our screening process, which includes background checks, reference verification, and credential review. We provide families with the information they need to make an informed and confident decision.

Typical Ages

There’s no official cutoff, but we work to match children of similar age within a few months to foster their development and friendship. It’s easier to find the perfect match when your little one is between 3 and 36 months.

Where We Operate

If you live in San Diego County, we've got you! From Oceanside to Chula Vista and everywhere in between. We match families and attract the top nannies throughout the county. Matching families that are within a short (5-10 min) is always the priority.

Simplifying Your Life

Once the nanny share begins, this nanny works for you. We make your life easy by organizing first day logistics, required tax documents, etc. We often oversee payment as well, to reduce logistical stress and reduce the mental load you carry as a busy parent.
Comparison chart showing benefits of private nanny share versus private nanny and daycare. Daycare is lower cost at $2,100 full-time monthly, with large groups and less personalized care. Private nanny is more personalized but costs $4,250 monthly, with one-on-one attention and support for child development. Nanny share offers a balance, combining experience and cost of $2,100 monthly, with benefits from both options.

"I honestly didn't think we'd find a childcare setup that worked this well for us. Our daughter adores her nanny, has a built-in little bestie to play with every day, and we didn't have to wreck our budget to make it happen. Finding Nanny Share Club was one of those rare parenting wins, and I was like, wait... why isn't everyone doing this? We love it!"
